I attended the Albuquerque Tea Party on July 4th with Robert DeBuck and found several things to my liking. But, the heat of the sun was not one of the things I found attractive. Especially so, since the temperature  was at least (felt so anyway) 10° higher than in Edgewood, New Mexico, my home. The sun’s heat did nothing to interfere with the enthusiasm of the effort of those attending; nor did it quell the warmth of the volunteers as they served those in attendance. I have no way to fairly estimate the number who came to express mostly conservative views and I can’t say anything about the political parties represented, except to say, it appeared to be multi-partisan, or put another way, mixed with people from all the good parties in this state.

As I close, I won’t go into my opinion of any of the ideas spoken or communicated by signs or other means. I can and will say, that those who would paint the attendees as a bunch of dissatisfied Republicans can throw that brush aside. What I saw, were citizens exercising their right to assemble peaceably and to voice by spoken or written word, their dissatisfaction of this country’s direction on several fronts. If that troubles folks, then, I believe it is probable, “you ain’t seen nothing yet.”
