Yes, after he (Zelaya) broke with the Honduran Constitution and the sanctity of the Honduran Supreme Court, he said according to Bloomberg News.com: “Respect for the country’s presidential system isn’t something that’s negotiated,” he said at a press conference in Washington after meeting with Hillary Clinton. “This isn’t about a negotiation. This is about planning the exit of the coup leaders from the country.”
This statement by Zelaya is damning on him, but he and his trainers and fellow creepers seem not to recognize the fact. What did he/they do when they resisted the orders of their very own supreme court and set about to foster a phony election that was completely outside their constitution and was everything but respect for Honduras‘ presidential system. When the court ruled he could not go forth with his illegal plans, Zelaya and his brothers in muck continued on and tried to steal ballots that had been shipped in from Comrade Chavez’s Venezuela, so that the beloved communist (Chavez) could continue his alliance with Zelaya should the election proceed.
Altogether, this is not a pleasant moment for the United States as they are actually caught between a rock and a hard place, i.e., if Zelaya agrees to forget about returning for the moment, Venezuela, Nicaragua and Cuba will be prepared to say that because of our meddling, Honduras has lost its true president; if he insists on an immediate return, the rest of the OAS will leave the United States as the odd man out and celebrate the egg on our face as Zelaya goes forward to return.
Perhaps not now, but eventually the world’s whipping boy (that’s U.S.) will be seen as a weak child that has been taken down another notch. Might as well have kept our nose out of it and our mouth shut about it.
