Looks as though these two presidential guys can’t get enough eye pop. Perhaps Mr. Obama might want to watch out for a $6000 $875 clutch purse up against the back of his head. See what they see.

T. Boone Pickens — Slim Pickens For Now
by Chuck Ring (GadaboutBlogalot ©2009)
Quote Freely From The Article – Leave The Pseudonym Alone
T. Boone Pickens, might as well be T-Bone Pickings for all the slim pickins’ he will have in the wind energy business for the foreseeable future. Some will recall that Mr. Pickens had (may still have) plans for a huge wind electrical generating facility on some 4000 acres in Texas. But, things have changed somewhat.
Mr. Pickens’, wind ideas have now changed direction, and he has some 667 wind turbines on order that will have to be placed somewhere that makes sense from from a visionary and monetary standpoint. It has been said that some of the monopoles for the wind turbines reach 400 feet upward.
What reason has been given for the brakes being put on the propellers … Mr. Pickens has said (in essense) that he could not generate mega amounts of power if there is no grid to shove the power through. A silly question perhaps, but should that issue not have been addressed before the rest of the speculative process was started?
Well, T. Boone Pickens is a very rich man, that I of meager assets, have always enjoyed watching as if he were Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks® of Orphan Annie® fame. “Daddy Warbucks” just happens to be number one on the Fictional Character Wealth List. I guess I will continue to watch Mr. Pickens, but it won’t be the same. At least for a while. The wind has been taken out of his sails and my wind knocked out of me.

CALL FOR VOLUNTERS — EDGEWOOD PUBLIC LIBRARY
This post is presented as a public service by the folks at GadaboutBlogalot
The Edgewood Community Library is in great need of more volunteers. We are seeking applicants that are 18 or older with basic or beginning computer skills to staff the circulation desk. The following days and times are where we need the most help:
Tuesdays: 12pm-4pm
Wednesdays: 10am-2pm
Thursdays: 3pm-7pm
Fridays: 1pm-5pm
Peggy Martinez and myself are currently the only paid employees at the library, so volunteering is the meat and potatoes of this operation until budgeting allows for a circulation desk employee.
Editor says: Please click here for a serious appeal for some well deserved help Ppt0000003 And thanks to the existing volunteers, along with Ms. Martinez and Ms. Corvin
