More Spend and Spin On Spending

Quote Freely From The Article – Leave The Pseudonym Alone

Not only are we allegedly spending dollars to recover our economy and our collective selves; it looks as though we are awarding an $18 million contract to tell us what, where and how we are spending our bucks .

I had and currently have no idea how the old version of  recovery.gov looked, functioned or actually provided useful information that was not just stuff and fluff; but it looks like the existing version, whether old or new,  has the potential to be nothing but another heralding of the stimulus program.

There is a plethora of  “information” available to the users of the website, but there seems to be no accessible information on actual fraud cases that display in-depth information or analysis. Information is given regarding potential telephone and email scam attempts, but nothing is offered regarding specific, real life instances of such fraud attempts.  I suspect that one could easily spend hours in the labyrinth of links provided on the website. Finding information that is useful and beyond just a touting of the existence of the program and that cites real and authentic examples of stimulus results proves to be more difficult.

Perhaps, the new $18 million spent or to be spent on the recovery.gov website will stimulate recovery.gov to display stimulating information. Here is a link to cyberjournalist.com that briefly reports on the  $18 million. Here’s a link to hotair.com that questions the possible political influence in the awarding of the contract. The doubt and wonder regarding this $18 million is widespread and you can read a bellyful by searching with this phrase  $18 million on recovery.gov website.
