Remember that Lum and the New Broomers hatched a scheme to pass absentee ballots to the ladies while they shopped for nylons in Mena. The ballots were provided to the ladies, but due to a flood that washed out the river bridge and telephone lines, the Broomers haven’t a clue how the women actually voted.
