No Extra Pow Or Punch

Quote Freely From The Article – Leave The Pseudonym Alone

In a story that is sure to bring out a lot of controversy, it is said that organic food provides no additional nutritional value over “regular grown food.”  The article shown here punch or pow is not likely to change the mind of organic aficionados as most purchase organic products for environmental and animal welfare reasons in addition to consideration of perceived nutritional  benefit. She who must be obeyed (SWMBO, my wife) and he who must obey (me) have had a running verbal battle about all of the issues of organic versus what I call good regular food. It probably comes as no surprise that my opinon is cast away by SWMBO like so much detritus tossed onto a mildewed and squashed pile of “good regular food.”  The argument for and against organic has ragedcontinued in our home ever since folks began to tout its benefits over “good regular food.”

The same can be said regarding good tap water and bottled water. She adores bottled water and I crave tap water. See here for a common sense approach to plastic water bottles and the stuff in them. I am satisfied with our tap water because it seems to have a little natural carbonation and it gives me a feeling of victory because I am drinking what people pay extra for, which is mineral water with extra fizz. Maybe there is a barrel of water at the foot of the rainbow. That is, since all of the negative articles have appeared regarding the chemicals leached from the plastics in the water bottles, I have caught SWMBO sneaking full glasses of our tap water and hiding them in various places in our home. In regards to water, I believe I have bathed SWMBO in the clear waters of the truth and we may see an increase in our disposable income due to weaning SWMBO from the bottled stuff.

I took a brief respite from writing the above in order to water what I assume to be SWMBO’s organic squash which are located in our back yard. I harvested both zuchinni and yellow squash after watering the rabbit acting things and when I took them into the humble abode, I found that my water heater (located in my humble garage) has sprung a bottom leak. I’m sure it because SWMBO takes to many baths and showers and has worn the poor thing useless. But, I dare not express such to her. Physical throw-downs are not fun and neither are bruises. So, what started out as an article about organic food turned out to be a sad lament about my water heater. SWMBO is in Texas and I’ll have to sell shares to the house in order to find enough dollars to buy a new water heater. Since this is New Mexico, maybe I can make a solar one from adobe and plastic water bottles. That’s the ticket!
