Obama on vacation while his attorney general sweeps in to continue the embarrassment liberals have managed to foist on this country. In the process,  this administration makes sure that we are once again, and perhaps perpetually, weakened in the eyes of the world, especially in the eyes of terrorists everywhere. What a distraction as the Democrats are mired down with their silly health bill … deflect the failure of the shove for passage of an ill-conceived piece of tripe at the expense of the security for the United States and the rest of the free world. But, what’s new?  The Democrats, at least the left-leaning bunch of them, have always managed methods to kill any chance we have of succeeding in annihilating the enemies of this country.

Obama and what’s his name, both know that the likelihood of getting any conviction that would really matter to this country is practically, if not totally, nil. Even if what the CIA might have done was against the law, there is next to no way to find it out and convict on the scant evidence that might be available. How about witnesses that lie, lost or destroyed records, so-called victims that lie and last, but by no means least, the REAL damage which will be done to our ability to continue our fight against animals. There is a saying that I will try to paraphrase here. The attorney general and his ilk are, “The warriors that go out to bayonet the wounded after the battle.”

Of course the goal is not and never has been, to right any perceived wrong accomplished by those who risk their lives and do our dirty work. The real objective by those on the “right thinking” left is to cause our country to become what the left desires. That is, to have a  kowtowing figment of the great nation we have been. Only after they have their way will they be happy in their little cocoons of political correctness as they prepare to hatch and become the moths that devour the very fabric of this nation.

I hope Obama, his fledglings and his idiot left will be forced to recognize that the uproar they witnessed on the Democrat‘s health bill is nothing compared to the uproar that will be exhibited on this silly attempt of Obama’s to play One-upmanship.

Entertain yourself with this Mouth of Obama tape: Barry O’s Taped Statement and finally see, that Obama had every intent back in 2007, to do just exactly what he is doing.

FOOD BANK — THURSDAY 8/27/09

Hello Everyone-

I hope this e-mail finds you all happy and healthy.  I just wanted to let everyone know about a project that I’ve been working on and need your help to spread the word to everyone you know.  Several of us have be given the opportunity to bring a food pantry to Edgewood.  Roadrunner Food Bank is selling us the food and we will distribute it on August 27th from 5:00-7:00 pm to anyone needing help.  I’ve attached the flier.  If you know of anyone that might benefit from this program, please let them know.  I’m also asking for help passing the flier out or distributing it to businesses or churches.  I won’t be able to hit every church or business and I know they will be a valuable resource in reaching families that can benefit from the pantry. This month, we will have enough food to feed 100 families.

A little bit about the program:
We are buying food for $.05 a pound.
$125 will buy 2500 pounds of food, allowing 50 families to receive 50 pounds of food each.
There are no income restraints-anyone needing the food is welcome.
All donations will go back into buying food from Roadrunner Food Bank.

The dust has not settled on the release from Scotland, a few short days past, of the despicable Libyan terrorist . With some leaders in Scotland laying it off on the “compassionate” soul of the Scottish government hardly anyone in the United States and few in British government circles are buying much of that peas porridge (pease pottage).

Gordon Brown, still in Scotland (ostensibly on holiday as they say), has refused/declined to offer any explanation on whether he has helped the Scots to broker a deal on the terrorist in return for some sort of trade tit for tat.

Readers will recall that the suggestion of oil for a terrorist has been raised by us (no rocket science, that) in our article, The Wee Scots’ Government Is Not … OUR Compasionate Friend Whether the trade was for oil to Britain or some other favor or ransom to be paid by Libya is as yet unknown.  But, with the ratcheting up in Britain’s Parliament and other areas of the British government, the racket is not likely to die down very soon, if at all. We predict, as has been said, “The truth will out.” You can read what some are saying here.

We have enjoyed great support from the Brits during the past 100 plus years, but a stick in the eye or an opened umbrella where the sun doesn’t shine is not an honorable (nor, honourable) trick to play on the good ol’ USA.

The White Cliffs Of Dover are shamefully tear-stained this evening.

An Auditor Of Old

Those who read, I mean really read, this blog will recall an article regarding alleged employee embezzlement from the Jemez Mountain School District (JMSD). If you have not read the article you can catch up by going here.

I recently filed a public record request with the Office Of The State Auditor (OSA) for the Executive Summary of the audit of the JMSD. The audit,  was prompted by the alleged embezzlement, as was reported in my article linked above. I am extremely pleased to announce that the folks I dealt with at the OSA were extremely courteous and receptive to my request. So much so, that the Executive Summary was sent the day following my request. Mr. Steve Archibeque and Mr. Evan Blackstone are to be commended for their responsiveness.

I have read the Executive Summary and have decided that the best way to report on the document is to post a link to it, so that I do not make any mistakes in interpreting the findings in the document. I am told that the audit itself is not being released at this time because it contains information which is unresolved and any release to the public might jeopardize the continuing investigation. I hope readers can find the time to examine the document with an eye toward remembering that folks can betray the trust placed in them and it is the citizens who suffer … in this case, the small or young ones to a greater extent.

When the military leaders start expressing that they are fearful that the American public is growing less supportive of the war in Afghanistan, it is time for those who believe that it is important to defeat Al-Queda and their sisters, the Taliban, to start turning the political screws. Remember, it was the Taliban that refused to force Osama bin Laden out of Pakistan after September 11, 2001.

Those of us who are old enough to remember that the politicians snatched “defeat from the jaws of victory” in Viet Nam will not want to see the same ugly picture show its face in Afghanistan. We, as a nation and a people, are not in a position to drop our guard and our commitment to defeat Al-Queda and anyone who stands in our way or by Al-Queda’s side.

We have paid a price beyond the wildest imagination of any perceived by thinking Americans and it is time to up the ante and increase troop and equipment levels to that needed to lay to rest as many terrorist operatives as is humanly, not necessarily humanely, possible . No that’s right, war itself is not humane, but it is justified and will be so until the animals are caged or annihilated.

We should all pray that our politicians and military leaders will have the courage to finish this war and others we enter with a defeat of the enemy and a victory which would cause the enemy to “study war no more.” We have to remember, that we didn’t “study” this war into existance, but we do have to pass the test of it. Otherwise, we will be fighting it and others until all of our resolve is wasted.

Some are asking if Afghanistan will be Obama’s Viet Nam.  It can, but only if he is too weak to bring solid victory without flim-flam and bull butter.

As we know the election in Pine Ridge is over and it is all done except for the shouting crying. The men must be feeling as though they’ve seen it all after Abner was forced to cook by Mayor Elizabeth Peabody.

I want to start out by thanking Lisa and Andy for hosting such a great mixer last night. I would also like to congratulate them as they celebrate their 15th year in business. The Lazy K Ranch Bed and Breakfast is beautiful!!! Next time you have company that needs a place to stay remember the Lazy K! Thank you again Lisa and Andy the food was wonderful! Also, thank you to Suzanne and Sierra Blanca Brewery for providing local spirits.

August 25: Tri-Chamber Golf Classic

I do have room for a couple of golfers and hole sponsors. This is a great event and what could be more fun than spending the day at one of the most beautiful places I can think of. August 27: Mobile Food Pantry

The mobile food pantry will be at the Liberty Square parking lot from 5 until 6:30 (unless they run out of food before then). If you or someone you know could use a little help stop by there are no questions asked.

August 29: 2009 Special Olympics Equestrian Competition

Event will be from 9 AM until 4 PM at the Rockin’ Horse Ranch Arena (4.5 miles north of Moriarty on State Hwy 41). This is a free event. Those of you who were at the Edgewood Chamber Lunch meeting or the Moriarty Chamber Lunch meeting had the wonderful opportunity to hear Steve talk about the event. I personally can’t encourage you all enough to attend the event. Also if you are looking for a great volunteer opportunity you can contact Cathy at 362-2171. I do hope I see you all there!!!

If you have an event or something that you would like to go out in the Friday Blast, I need the information by the end of the day on Thursday.

This Is So Sad

Gov. David PatersonSeems like someone else has caught the race card virus and and unlike the swine flu, an inoculation with a vaccine is not likely to cure the problem. It looks as though the accuser will need to sip a glass or two or truth serum to cure his mouth and brain from the self-doubt and low self-esteem he may feel.

In this gentleman’s mind, he has determined that it is the evil news media that will do him in. A thought that is very strange given the fact that the media has given him a pretty wide berth, except when it is obvious that he can’t govern in the way the legislature, many black like himself, believe he should govern. Add to the forgoing, the fact that some of his most vocal critics are black and his accusations see to fly away like so many soap bubbles caught by an ill wind.

The gentleman has gone so far as to suggest that Obama will be the next to succumb to the medias criticism. It is not wholly the media who might call either Governor David Paterson or President Obama to task, but their own party that might do them in. Maybe it will be because neither one can deliver liberal goods when it come down to such delivery. Looks daunting to me. Ted Kennedy – A Special Person?

Whenever or wherever the “Kennedy” name is mentioned  it is normally done in a respectful manner.  When one thinks about the many sacrifices this family has made over the years on behalf of our country,  it is hard not to be appreciative of their many contributions.  Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. was a  B-24 pilot in the Air Force during  World War II.  He died while on bombing mission over German-occupied Europe.  Of course, everyone knows the story of John F. Kennedy.  As the commander of a Patrol Torpedo boat during World War II, he attained hero status for his service in the Pacific, even before being elected as our President. Of course everyone  knows about that sad day in November 1963 when he gave his life for our country.  While Robert Kennedy did not serve in the armed forces, as U.S. Attorney General  he too, was a hero by pushing civil rights issues. During the ’68 presidential campaign he was shot to death in San Francisco by a Palestinian immigrant named Sirhan-Sirhan.

After the three older Kennedys, we come to the youngest brother, Edward Theodore.  “Teddy” Kennedy seems to have been  the least-gifted son of the family.  With such talented and famous brothers it certainly must have been awkward for him, growing up in their proximity.  In any event,  on the “back” of the family name he has managed to make a “name” for himself, albeit not in the manner the rest of his family would endorse.

Since he was elected to the senate to replace his brother John, the one area where he has excelled was in promoting a national health care plan.  Even now, as it appears he is approaching the end of his life, he continues to work hard on this issue. See Notable Names Data Base.    Yesterday he contacted the Governor of his home state, Massachusetts,  and  apparently, sensing he may soon succumb to Cancer, requested that his state’s rules regarding succession be changed so Massachusetts will not be without representation in the event a vote on Obama’s health program should come before the senate.

Presently, if a senate incumbent in his state were to resign, die, or otherwise vacate his position, the law requires there be a “cooling off” period of five months, during which, the state has no one occupying that position. After this period of time the Governor would then call a special election to fill the vacancy. He has requested that the law be changed so the Governor (a Democrat and supporter of the  president) could  immediately appoint a new senator, should a senate position become vacant. This action would insure that the President would have  the maximum  support for his health plan in the Senate if the matter were to come to a vote.  While outwardly this sounds like a noble venture ,  I find  Mr. Kennedy’s action to be at the least high-handed, yet typical of a self-centered person who is willing to do anything  to further his own cause. It is interesting to note that he was the person who pushed the “five month” rule when Mitt Romney, a Republican, was governor. This is truly a shameful example of the partisan politics in Massachusetts and Ted Kennedy‘s role  as an “honorable ” politician.

Our resident President can’t seem to understand that if the messenger delivers the wrong message,  the recipients of the message will get the wrong information. Again, as we asked in an article a few days past, why or how can we believe him, when he doesn’t know his subject.

Utilizing a prepared blogcast, Obama supposedly provided information to several faith-based organization on details of his out-of-balance health plan. Trouble is, just like in the article we reference in the above paragraph, some of his message was just plain wrong … again, perhaps there was no teleprompter on which POTUS could depend and his mind was addled due to all the strobe lights he has faced in the past oh, so many months.

According to an article at McClatcheydc.com (click for article) Obama repeated the falsehood that he has repeated in the past when he has said that if folks don’t want to change their insurance under the proposed plan which he favors, they will be allowed to keep whatever plan they have. It appears that neither Obama nor those appearing with him during the blogcast caught the error or even knew that his statement was in error.

It was left to FactCheck to set Obama and the record straight and they did so here (click). It is nice to have someone who will catch POTUS’ errors and disinformation and also report on them … er, sort of keep him honest.
