Quote Freely From The Article – Leave The Pseudonym Alone

We are working on an article that has to do with at least two of the Town of Edgewood’s projects being red tagged by a New Mexico Construction Industries electrical inspector. One of the projects is the Edgewood Town Library. The rumor is that the other project is the Edgewood waste water treatment facility located about two miles east of New Mexico State Road 344.

If the Town of Edgewood or its agents were required to obtain permits and did not, or the work was performed by unlicensed contractors or the work did not meet required standards or specification, the Town will have placed themselves and the citizens in a potentially dangerous situation which could lead to serious consequences and litigation.

We will report further when more details are obtained, or the details we have obtained thus far, are organized. In the meantime you can find the photos of the Red Tag documents below which are posted on the Edgewood Public Library. They are not the best, but you can see them yourself if you go to the library. Incidentally, the library is still open in possible violation of the documents below.

He Says, “Lame Christian Media Misses ACORN Scandal”

by Chuck Ring (GadaboutBlogalot ©2009).

Quote Freely From The Article – Leave The Pseudonym Alone

Doug Giles, who is the father of Hannah Giles, (surely, I don’t need to explain who she is) seriously posts the above statement and then seriously (very seriously) takes the “Christian Media” to task.

Anyone who knows Doug Giles knows that he is never tactful when there is no need for tactfulness or  there is no need to be guarded. From his statements in the article, he still carries the thought … the thought that telling it like it really is, is the shortest distance to a reasonable facsimile to the meat of the matter.

I am not here to reinforce his argument; nor am I here to defend the “Christian Media’s” handling of the ACORN stories. I am posting  a link to his article for anyone to agree or disagree with his contentions. So, don’t crucify shoot the messenger and try for responsible comments with any responses you wish to make on this blog.

Crass Childish Idiots Poke Fun At A Brit Hero

A young serviceman from Britain whose legs and right arm were blown off by a bomb he stepped on in Helmand Province in Afghanistan is plodding ahead to the rest of his life.. While he was recuperating in a hospital in Birmingham, England, his mother took him in a wheelchair to shop. Part of the story reported in Online BBC News stated:

While he was being treated at Selly Oak hospital in Birmingham his mother took him out shopping where they encountered a group of “boisterous” youths.

Rena Weston, 40, said: “They shouted he’s lost something… like his legs.

One can only lament that the young veteran’s mates were not close-by, so that a wee bit of retribution could have somehow been extracted from the “boisterous” young idiots.

The young soldier is planning to remain in the army, perhaps as a member of a marksmanship team. What a brave and determined soul he must be.

We’ll leave you with a partial quote from Rudyard Kipling‘s, Tommy:

For it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that, an’ “Chuck him out, the brute!”
But it’s “Saviour of ‘is country” when the guns begin to shoot;
An’ it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that, an’ anything you please;
An’ Tommy ain’t a bloomin’ fool — you bet that Tommy sees!

Here’s a link to the complete Tommy poem. If you’ve not had the opportunity to experience Kipling, this poem would be a good start.
