The Washington Times (WT) recently published a three-part article on how pork has affected the military budget. The WT tells of members of Congress from both major parties raiding portions of the defense budget for pet projects that are not wanted or needed by the military.

According to the WT, this not the first time such huge amounts have moved out of the military budgets and the article indicates that Congress has carved out pork funds for many years, with 2002 being the year that this present dredging of bucks started.

President Obama and members of Congress were to get a handle on this gross inappropriateness, but it looks as though all they have really managed is to clasp their gnarly mitts on the handle of the pork barrel.
