Announcement for two Alternates for the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee:

The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee is seeking two persons to act as Alternates who are interested in sharing their ideas and energy to help build our communities facilities, activities and events.

Please submit a brief outline of your interests and background to parksrec@edgewood-nm.gov or drop off at town office at 1911 Old Hwy 66.

The next Advisory Committee meeting is 19 November, 6 PM in the Community Center.

Governor Richardson announced a list of stimulus money recipients today. Edgewood is a recipient of a $430,000 grant for  two 50KW wind turbines for municipal electricity generation.

The next step by Edgewood will likely be to carefully plan for success of the projects. Just for kicks, access the link below.

Description: GRIP I40 / Zuzax to Tijeras Interstate Reconstruction (Jeter/ Mtn States) Ongoing through Wednesday 10/28 from 5am to 2pm each weekday – I40 eastbound from Tijeras to Zuzax will be reduced to one lane. Expect delays!
