The drudgery of complying with laws, rules and regulations … not to mention search warrants and other judicial processes must be taking a toll on ACORN©, bastion of unfettered activity.
Today, the Louisiana Attorney General served a search warrant on ACORN headquarters in New Orleans. This information comes via NOLA.com and more specifically through reporting from The Times Picayune.
According to The Times Picayune, an attorney for ACORN issued the following statement:
Over the last two months, ACORN has been cooperating with a variety of governmental entities across the country to provide requested information and documents,” Marple wrote. “We were told that the AG’s office has no criticisms of ACORN’s cooperative efforts, but rather that the warrant was issued because of concern that former local ACORN staff members had, and may intend in the future to remove or alter electronic documents.
We at Gadabout-Blogalot have reported previously regarding the many alleged problems facing ACORN. You can read this story by clicking above on The Times Picayune or you can click here
