Thanks to some great folks who count themselves as non-partisan (I have no evidence to the contrary) you can have the current health bill read to you. The same goes for the earlier House versions, and the Senate version, pushed out of committee this week.
Here is what “hear the bill” says on their homepage about part of their mission and the non-partisanship nature of their service:
We are each of us, from different political backgrounds, philosophies and regions of the country. We have no agenda other than to make it easier for you to know exactly what our lawmakers are proposing. Download the audio of this bill, and listen to it as you would an audiobook, whenever it’s convenient for you.
It all sounds so simple for the user, and if it is what it says it is, then there is no limit to the service they can offer. Please note, in case you miss it, that you can hear everything in order of you can hear only those portions that interest you.

It’s great to hear that somebody’s doing this. This one would be a long listen, though. It would be excellent if somebody were to take the time to do audio on the rest of the bills, as well.
I believe they have with all of the health bills and I hope they will do so on all bills rife with controversy.
