Quote Freely From The Article – Leave The Pseudonym Alone
The President seems to be besieged from several directions starting with our own intelligence services whose members are unhappy with being assessed as lacking in their cooperation and skill in dealing with evidence allegedly passed to them. That there was a disconnect somewhere along the line, there seems to be little question, but who the negligent party or parties might be is still debated for now.
The President has said, according to BBC News:
The intelligence community had failed to “connect the dots”, Mr Obama said, adding: “That’s not acceptable, and I will not tolerate it.”
That he desires not to tolerate “it”, there should be no question, even among his strongest detractors. Whether he has the wherewithal or his aides and staff have the requisite knowledge for handling an extremely volatile situation is unknown. He has to walk and talk cautiously or his actions or lack thereof could spell more difficulty for the United States and her allies with a much higher price tag for now and perhaps a devastating disconnect with reality for the future.
