Looking For The Science Of It

Every once in a while a diamond is found in a pig track and today while I was plinking around I found a website called Dark Roasted Blend.  I would suppose that its main claim to fame would be furnishing curious and interesting websites for folks such as myself, whom seem to have more time than skill or brains.

One of the websites provided on Dark Roasted Blend is one that transports the virtual traveler to a pile of Popular Science magazines which start in the year 1870 that is billed as “more than 100 years of Popular Science magazine.”   I went to the website and verified that it was a project of Google® Books and eventually settled on choosing a Popular Science magazine from May 1910 and an article titled Ancient Climate of the West Coast.

I’m more than a little sure that I could find many more articles on climate change searching further back in time and publications, but I didn’t start my search with climate change on my mind and my eyes just randomly fell on the article linked above.  Now that I’ve provided the above links, it is my hope that folks on both sides of the climate change battle will come and gently plunk their thoughts down in the comments.  Sort of, lead in and tell us whether this article contains information that may be relative to today and the future … and, don’t forget the past.  After all, the article is about “Ancient.”

I have to confess, I feel like a little red dog I had.  It was his habit to start fights between his larger dog friends and then back off and watch the battles.
