ECOC Friday Blast 6/4/2010

From the ECOC Office
Well, it’s warm outside! This weekend is suppose to be down right HOT! Remember to drink lots of water and if you do need to be out doors…don’t forget the sunscreen!!! Last Friday, Mayor Stearley and I had the honor of doing a ribbon cutting for Earth’s Child Montessori School. Earth’s Child is a new chamber member, but June marks their 10th year serving the Edgewood Community! Congrats Miss Beth! The ECOC has some awesome events coming up this summer. July 24th will be the Route 66 Days BBQ Cook-Off. There will be two divisions for the cook-off; an amateur and a business team. I encourage all you businesses to form a team, break out the grill and earn the title of Best BBQ!! I have taken several calls from as far away as Encino so this is sure to be a GREAT event. There is more information attached to this email. Run, Rally, & Rock will be August 28 – 29 @ Wildlife West Nature Park. The traditional R3 5k Run will kick off the event Saturday morning and will be followed by a parade, and of course, the Business Expo!!. Please take time to read the attached information. The luncheon is next Wednesday and will be on the road again…Knuckleheads Motorcycle Center will be hosting us.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
Robin
