Quote Freely From The Article – Leave The Pseudonym Alone
Our President has finally came to the end of his brain-stem. Notice I did not say the death of his brain, but if dysfunction appears, can serious illness be far away? I suppose it depends on the severity of the lapse of brain power, but Mr. Obama, seems to be fast approaching major malfunction when he actually mouths his belief that there is nothing more important than a government job. Let’s see what he has said recently. First some narrative from RealClearPolitics:
President Obama responds to a woman who was laid off from her government job: “Let me just first of all say that workers like you, for the federal, state, and local governments, are so important for our vital services. And it frustrates me sometimes when people talk about ‘government jobs’ as if somehow those are worth less than private sector jobs. I think there is nothing more important than working on behalf of the American people.”
A news flash, Mr. President, is certainly in order. Save the military, our spook agencies and a few other positions, there are a lot of things more important than a government job. Perhaps what you meant to say was there is nothing more important than a vote forced by government employees unions for the folks who sign the government employees’ pay checks. While almost every government employee pays taxes, there is a dearth of taxes paid by those employees when it comes to be enough to pay even a small part of their overall salaries and benefits. So, I say Mr. President, the folks that work for the private sector and pay an ever-increasing portion of their salaries toward taxes for government employees salaries and benefits, for the operation of our government, plus all the foreign aid we toss around are (dare I say it) a damn sight more important than a government job –that is any government job, including yours and all of your cabinet’s.
Mr. President what you have said is denigrating to private-sector workers and naive for a man of your age, status and touted intelligence. Even after two years of a giant hole in the bottom of the money sieve, you still do not seem to get it. ‘It” being the real pain those in the private sector have felt. Pontification is not a solution; nor is it very presidential, and no matter how much money you may spend for teleprompter lessons, you’ll never hit the center of the target until you find some humble-pie. Don’t look to the sky as you often are wont. You won’t find the piece of pie, or the pot of gold high in the sky, or on the horizon. The answer lies in a great dose of humility among the simple earthlings. Let’s hear what you had to say about those government jobs:
By the way, Mr. President, isn’t it true, government workers make more while they work for government and have more secure retirement pay and insurance than what private sector employees could ever hope to have? Just asking.
