Many of you have watched as Edgewood’s Father’s Day Car Show grew to a size which called for larger exhibit space. This year Tony Jaramillo Jr and his crew will stage the event at Edgewood’s Wal-Mart. This larger space developed after the Wal-Mart’s manager and the parent organization stepped forward to offer a paved area for the show.
The proceeds for the event are to be donated to the Edgewood Mobile Food Pantry as has been the case for the last several years. Volunteers from Valley View, along with other community volunteers will be working to make this year’s show the best ever. The food pantry will continue to be held at Valley View Christian Church.
The flyer found below, lists the major sponsors for the show, together with other information. We would like to give special mention to Pastor Dewey Moede and his ministry FGGAM.org for their generous sponsorship donation.
Please call Tony Jaramillo Jr at 505-459-2358 for questions and please support the sponsors of this event.

First off, I’m sorry if I’ve duplicated this e-mail to anyone-I lost all of my contacts and had to reestablish the list. Hopefully, everything will be back on track next month. Roadrunner Food Bank is providing the food and we will distribute it on April 22nd from 5:00-7:00 pm to anyone needing help. I’ve attached the flier. If you know of anyone that might benefit from this program, please let them know. I’m also asking for help passing the flier out or distributing it to businesses or churches. I won’t be able to hit every church or business and I know they will be a valuable resource in reaching families that can benefit from the pantry. This month, we will have enough food to feed 150 families.
A little bit about the program:
We are paying a shared maintenance fee of $.05 a pound for the food.
$125 will buy 2500 pounds of food, allowing 50 families to receive 50 pounds of food each.
There are no income restraints-anyone needing the food is welcome.
All donations will go back into buying food from Roadrunner Food Bank.
At the bottom of the e-mail, there is a link to a video Roadrunner made about the necessity of mobile food pantries.
Results from last month:
154 families were served.
There were 528 people in those 154 households.
Thank you to our sponsors- Valley View Church and the Ring Family.
We also had 40+ volunteers-the pantry wouldn’t have been successful without their help.
New this month:
