The Edgewood Community Library presents “Strange but True Tales of New Mexico” told by story teller Mary Mortensen Diecker.  A native New Mexican, Ms. Diecker will spin a collection of stories that display the people and culture of our state.  Some of the stories are holiday-oriented, other stories are funny or poignant.  WHERE:  Edgewood Community Center.  WHEN:  Saturday, November 13, 2010, 3:30 pm.  Refreshments served after program.  This FREE program is made possible with a grant from the NM Humanities Council.  For more information, contact the library at 281-0138.

The Edgewood Community Library now has its own website!  Information on the library may be found at www.edgewoodlibrary.com.  The site, although under construction, still contains a wealth of resources to the reader.   Among the site links are:   Location, About Us, Services, Calendar of Events, and Photo Gallery.  The hours of operation are listed, along with a “Location” map to the library.  Patrons who are interested in the library history will enjoy reading the “About Us” page.  We offer valuable “Services” to the community, many of which are free.  The “Calendar of Events” includes current and upcoming programs and other happenings.  The past two years have been full of fun and activities, of which may be viewed in the “Photo Gallery”.   A link to the library collection is not available at this time.  The library plans to include that link in the future.  Special thanks go to John and Monica Suda and also to Andrea Corvin, library assistant, for their wonderful contributions to the website.  We are very proud of the website and the wonderful service it provides for the community.
