It was announced yesterday that an agreement had been reached between the city and the union representing Chicago teachers, but details are not yet finalized.
Pity the poor taxpayers and students in that city. It will take a long time to recover from the strike, not to mention a settlement likely inexcusable on the part of the school administration.
