A special thank you to John Helmich and Karen Takai from EMIFPA for their very informative talk about how to prepare for the fires in the East Mountains. They gave us a detailed check list, which helps to organize an evacuation, as well as preparation…what to think about…BEFORE an evacuation is called by the Sheriff’s department. These lists are at the Visitor’s center at the South entrance to the Library. Just stop by and pick one up, and while you’re doing that, bring your business cards and company brochures, publications, etc. to place there. It is a privilege of membership. And a huge thank you for the fabulous lunch…the salad bar was on of the best we have ever eaten!

This is our huge event of our year, with over 5,000 visitors last year,
day and night.
We will also be offering the
Free Stage all day, so anyone with dance, Karate,
music or any other group (especially children) who would like to entertain, please contact us.
Burnin’ Bridges Band will entertain from 5pm to the Fireworks…
(weather conditions permitting).
There will be many exciting new entries this year, as we are working with Route 66 committees from around the area.
