The awards were presented at our
Annual Banquet
last Saturday evening at
Chili Hills.
A huge Thank You to Wes and Debbie Goss, owners of Chile Hills for hosting us at
your restaurant. It was an elegant and delicious evening.
Another big thank you to
Stuart Seagers for organizing our very successful bucket auction.
Thanks to all who donated to the auction, and those who attended our successful and pleasant evening.

Our Third Leadership Class started this week with a successful and
informative first day!

and class building!
Martha Eden made a fabulous breakfast and lunch for
class attendees and our guests.
Saul Araque presented a thorough segment on the
and where’sof our State and National legislators,
with a great deal of important information on how
to best contact them.
Mayor Brad Hill spent a
delightful and informative session
discussing the
workings of the Town, including Economic Development, Zoning, Section 16 plans,
and our intent to help keep Edgewood Elementary in our community.  The class enjoyed his information and commitment to our community.
Town Administrator Kay Davis McGill and staff
gave us a thorough tour of the Town Offices
and good information on how to best work with
the various departments.
Plans for the class to attend a day at the
Roundhouse in Santa Fe later this month.

Teacher Star Awards
Every month we honor a local teacher for doing
an excellent job in the classroom.
Nominations can come from students,
parents, other staff, and the community.
We are looking for nominations for the month ofJanuary!
Please take a moment to nominate
a teacher anywhere in the
East Mountains who has made an
impact on a child you know. These acknowledgements are
a strong show of support from the business community to those who are responsible for the success of our next generation.
 Stop by Mail and Copy or the Chamber Office to get a nomination form. We are also accepting$50 sponsors for the monthly awards.

 If there is a vacant spot or if the Town occupies a spot you wish to occupy along Route 66 and 344, you
