Some Repubs Bow To Obama

Powerful Republican Representatives and Senators are buying another excursion to a place we should not allow our nation to be embroiled.  To begin, we are fighting two wars in Iraq and Afghanistan where Al Qaeda is as strong, if not stronger than before we crashed their party in both countries.  Additionally, as it always seems, we have lost both of those conflicts because we are unable to understand there is no winning unless we are willing to inflict collateral damage as part of the price paid to win the war when the terrorists seek refuge among families.  Families which may or may not sympathetic to Al Qaeda or the Taliban, and may despise the “liberator.”

We (the United States) supported the Muslim Brotherhood when Mubarak was deposed in Egypt, only to learn the new ruler voted in by popular vote was as bad if not worse than the previous.  The Egyptian military and millions of ordinary citizens forced the duly elected Morsi out of his post and into incarceration.  I believe we will find he was removed for valid reasons and Egypt will be the better for his absence.

There are armies and governments fully able to invest in freeing their neighbors and fellow Muslims.  And, we should allow require them to do so before we spend any more citizens and money to play in another sandbox.  Whatever the reason or justification given, going into or over Syria is tantamount to aiding Al Qaeda and other Muslim fanatics.

We still need answers about what transpired, and the culpable ones for our shameful losses of people and standing in Libya.

Run, don’t walk, our butts out of any intent to become involved in or above Syria.

DEBKAfile Exclusive Report July 4, 2013, 10:33 AM (IDT)

The lightening coup which Wednesday, July 3, overthrew President Mohamed Morsi put in reverse gear for the first time the Obama administration’s policy of sponsoring the Muslim Brotherhood movement as a moderate force for Arab rule and partner in its Middle East policies. debkafile reveals that the Egyptian military could not have managed their clockwork coup without the aid of Saudi and Dubai intelligence and funding.
Saudi Arabia and the UAE threw their weight and purses behind Egypt’s generals aiming to put their first big spoke in the US-sponsored Arab Revolt (or Spring), after they failed to hold the tide back in Libya, Egypt and thus far Syria.

From Peace Broker Hero To Despotic Dictator?

Just a short few days in the past, our Secretary of State was announcing a cease-fire between Hamas, other radical elements and Israel.  The announced hero to handle the ramp down is/was none other than the Muslim Brotherhood’s leader and President of Egypt, Mohammed Morsi.  You can read and see some of the magic show that Hillary Clinton and other champions of Morsi’s good purported good works in the tenuous cease-fire have tried to see instituted:

Morsi’s Miracle

Morsi’s status as a broker for peace and one who might be trusted has not lasted long.  Now we see Morsi copying the dictator he replaced (Hosni Mubarak) in seizing extra-ordinary powers which were to be given to Egypt’s people. His actions now seem to say,  in government, a vacuum is likely to be filled with detritus from a failed action.

Whatever his (Morsi’s) actions actually demonstrate on the issue of his taking more power than the Egyptian citizenry bought into, they have certainly angered many of his supporters, along with his detractors.

New Powers Taken By Morsi

In modern times, perhaps even from our nation’s start, we have trouble picking our way out of bad decisions.  This may be another of those times.
