The word Republican was not mentioned in the group’s application for tax-exempt status. In fact, the organization is an Hispanic organization for education in a variety of areas concerning rights of individuals.

Conservatives have many things for which to be thankful. Ten of those things happen to be people who worked hard to help conservatives understand the sacrifices needed to win conservative battles across our nation. That we were not as successful as we would have liked, the reasons can be seen, and hopefully understood, we will continue the battle to bring this nation back in line with our constitution and away from a form of government alien to freedom loving Americans.

We have found ourself tired and not much able to come up with anything even close to original (not that it is a sterling attribute possessed by myself) this 3rd of July 2010. What we did do along with 12-15 fellow East Mountain Tea Party Movement (EMTP) members was to take part in a great parade in Moriarty, New Mexico and then to serve at a EMTP booth in a nice grassy park.
We distributed Constitutions and similar materials to an estimated 175 adults and youngsters, many of whom signed up for the EMTP E -Blast newsletter which is sent to any interested person. We expect that many of the folks who signed up for the E-Blast will attend the next EMTP general meeting on July 18th in Moriarty at the Lions Club building. The meeting will held from 1-3:30 PM. We hope to see you there.
In general people who came to the booth and those we met as we walked around with information were curious as to how the Tea Party Movement has progressed and how it is faring in New Mexico. Those questions and more were answered to the best of our ability, but of course we were limited in time spent with each person. Altogether, the time spent by the EMTP members was worthwhile and very enjoyable.
Today, or I should say, close to the end of the day, I found an article which I believe tells the story of the Tea Party Movement very well. As well, as any article I’ve read on the movement and its people. I am posting the article below with the hope that those interested will take the opportunity to read the article.
