You Can Call, Email Or Blog The Apology

One of our earnest, or was it actually Ernest detractors, excoriated us for a series of posts on Pigfod I and Pigford II.  His criticisms were tiring and uninteresting at the time and we left him to argue with himself.  The articles we posted contained video and audio verifying and/or supporting the accusations made about many of the fraudulent claims and other actions by some of the Pigford claimants, their attorneys and perhaps government employees.  While we had no problem with the sources, our detractor did, choosing to call Andrew Breitbart and his employees less than honest and grabbing everything Media Matters for America, a progressive site supported by rich progressives, had to say against Breitbart., After which, it was piled it up as the epitome of righteousness.

Now a member of the mainphelm media has finally posted their own investigation and they have indicated Breitbart was correct and not a dishonest journalist as our detractor has indicated as he and others carry water for the Pigford claimants. It is reported Media Matters has deigned to place their apology at the feet of Mr. Breitbart’s successors and former co-workers.

We don’t expect an apology from our detractor, but our personal email address and  cellphone number are still the same.  Oh, did we mention not one single person ever stepped forward to claim the $100,000 smackers reward Andrew Breitbart offered for proof the “N,” word was hurled at federal legislators as they walked back after signing the bill known as ObamaCare.  But, actually the story of those allegations is another story altogether.

So here we are down to linking to the New Your Times and their reporter/reporters work. We hope everyone … we do mean everyone, sees fit to read it and the related articles below:

I have, from time to time, posted articles regarding the Pigford settlements and some of the implications of the settlement processes seemingly gone mad or made that way to begin with.  The material we have quoted or referenced is extraordinary for two primary reasons:

  1. there are scarcely any reports from the “main-scream” media which impact to any degree on the fraud and real magnitude in dollars meted out with the settlements
  2. the reports, and there are a few, have been made available in the main by blogs

Perhaps your thoughts might run counter to mine and you feel this whole episode is nothing about which to be concerned.  Or, maybe you are incensed that the big media boys have rested on their holly since they are absent any “laurels.”  Whatever the case, maybe someone, somewhere and sometime, with a little authority will do the right thing and an in-depth investigation to be completed.

Meanwhile, if you have nothing else to cause you to be a little dizzy, perhaps a complete reading or partial review of the articles to be found here will spur you on after a fine first day of the New Year (Saturday) and on through the weekend.  And no, the moon is not intoxicated … just a little dizzy to join us!

Here is a link to many articles on the subject:

If  The Pigford Settlements were A Pile Of Manure, They’d Reach To The Moon (with the obvious exception of the several thousand justified settlements)

Here are more articles to peruse if you have a mind to look deeper into what is alleged regarding what could turn out to be one of the biggest scams and/or financial abuses in the history of the United States.  And still the controversy rages.

Some of the links seem to be duplicates, so I’m posting the link to the web page of  Big Government which will display the links for 12/07/10  (today.)  Perhaps someone from the site will correct the links, if not there’s some which are not duplicates.

Thanks to all the media that are finally paying attention to these government bags of money and sacks of shame.

Shylock ( see image on right) in Shakespeare’s,  The Merchant of Venice, said something on the subject of a debt owed him.  Here is the quote in the original English:

The pound of flesh which I demand of him Is deerely  bought, ’tis mine, and I will haue  it.

Giving us an expression that means a debt owed, which will be relentlessly and ruthlessly pursued.

What follows is a debt collected from the taxpayers of this nation which fits the definition.  And it fits the definition only because thousands of fraudulent claimants apparently ripped-off Uncle Sam.  I ran across more than a few articles today on the website, Big Government.  Each article deals with the so-called Pigford settlements.  For readers not acquainted with the Pigford issues, I can only say you need to delve into the settlements to see how your government, government employees, less than forthright politicians, and even some of your fellow citizens, will cave to corruption and deceit when it comes to money and votes.

To readers who have their minds made up about the propriety of the way the Pigford 1, and now the Pigford 2, settlement has or will be handled … or you just can’t bring yourself to read anything on Big Government, you are allowed to walk or run on out of the theater.  But if you do, you will be missing information every American citizen should have.  You may have opinions that differ from the articles or my own, but you surely cannot believe that what has been done is appropriate or intended by honest Americans.

Altogether there are 15 articles or commentaries loaded on Big Government today.  I hope readers will access and study articles for which they have time.  I read the 29 page PDF with a very long title.  My version of Adobe Reader allows me to post comments on the document, which I have done. Perhaps, they have little interest to others, but I posted my comments to help me remember the content.  I will post a link to my marked-up version.  If you decide to read it, you may have to download the latest version of Adobe Reader.  If you do read the mark-up, please remember the remarks are not edited.

I plan to read more of the 15 highlighted articles as I find time.  Here is the mark-up I mentioned above:
