How else to describe an abortion doctor and his filthy abortion clinic where babies were killed and patients treated with filthy instruments.  Of course, all of the foregoing are “just” allegations, but the bad doctor has been charged with up to seven counts of murder for killing babies by cutting their spinal cords with scissors.  Other people employed by this so-called physician have been charged for illegal distribution of controlled substances.  A fifteen year old girl administered anesthetics and performed surgery in the clinic.  The story, from CBSPhilly was reported by Walt Hunter, CBS 3, along with, Tony Hanson, KYW Newsradio 1060; and John Ostapkovich, KYW Newsradio 1060. Here are portions of the story followed by a link to the complete report and links from other media (also click on the image above):

Dr. Kermit Gosnell, 69, faces eight counts of murder in the deaths of a woman following a botched abortion at his office, along with the deaths of seven other babies who, prosecutors allede, were born alive following illegal late-term abortions and then were killed by severing their spinal cords with a pair of scissors.

I’m going repeat some of the things I have written before, along with new thoughts I’ve had since I last commented about abortion.  I still wonder if anyone; mothers, fathers, doctors, nurses, grandmothers or grandfathers, ever ask the most important humans involved in abortions if they would like to die.  Of course, I am being facetious and yet, I’m not.  I would challenge any of the above named relatives and caregivers to look into the eyes of a newborn; ask if they would want to die before they have had an opportunity to experience love and life, and then concentrate to pull an answer from the precious heart and soul — mouth and eyes of the child.  Or maybe, the mother and father contemplating abortion could call up an image of a tiny replica of themselves being thrown into a plastic bag after having their spinal cord severed by an unscrupulous physician or other so-called health practitioner.

Abortion is a filthy, disgusting pox on our world.  A pox perpetrated on the world’s citizens by selfish organizations and governments who are blind to the short-term and long-term effects on humans and society;  all done toward making the statement that we are masters of our own destiny, while forgetting there are payments to be made for the callous desire to pass responsibility to someone or something else.  Someone is watching and waiting.  Do we dare continue to give Him unspeakable horrors to observe.

I know there are no simple answers to the issue of death by abortion, but if the story of Gosnell and his ilk should give pause and consideration to those faced with abortion decisions, maybe we’ll see fewer abortions performed.

Here’s the link to the complete story which contains still images, audio and video of the bad doctor and parts of his facility.

They Say, “Our Work For Next Week Is Repeal.”

President Barack Obama meets with Speaker Nanc...

The US House of Representatives, at least the representative on the Republican side,  say they will begin repeal of President Obama’s (as it is known) ObamaCare legislation.  Some say the odds for success for a complete repeal are zero to none, but others say repeal is a sure thing.

I believe something between outright repeal in both houses and a compromise of some sort is most likely to occur.  I also believe, had there not been such a rush to pass the bill over the objections of what has been said to be a majority of those polled, we might have been able to craft a plan suitable to most American citizens.  Perhaps such an effort to listen will work now, but the process will have to get past the vitriol and distrust from many previously shown in both houses.

Reuters (USEdition) has posted a story by their reporters, Donna Smith and Thomas Ferraro, reporting on the statements and plans for the republican effort and there’s seems no lack of confidence for success on the part of the republican leadership.  The article correctly states work had been scheduled to begin for repeal of the bill for this week, but the tragedy in Tucson caused a delay in the beginning of the process:

“As the White House noted, it is important for Congress to get back to work, and to that end we will resume thoughtful consideration of the health care bill next week,” said Brad Dayspring, a spokesman for House Majority Leader Eric Cantor.

“Americans have legitimate concerns about the cost of the new healthcare law and its effect on the ability to grow jobs in our country,” he added.

The vote is set for Wednesday, said another Republican aide who asked not to be identified.

Both sides believe, or say they believe, their position is the correct and true side of the issue and offer further arguments in trying to convince the public their path is valid and will ultimately succeed:

The House is also expected to vote on a second measure that would instruct three House committees to develop replacement healthcare legislation that would, among other things, “foster economic growth and private sector job creation by eliminating job-killing policies and regulations.”

Democrats argue the healthcare overhaul that was signed into law last year will expand coverage to millions of uninsured Americans and help rein in soaring medical costs. But Republicans argue the coverage mandate in the legislation is unconstitutional and that penalties for employers who do not provide coverage discourage hiring.

Whatever may happen in the immediate future, it should be remembered that legal challenges to the bill are still pending which may or may not do away with the need for repeal of the bill.  This and other remaining issues, are found by reading the entire Reuters article found by clicking here and accessing links found below.

I believe you know what is meant by the title.  Just in case there is any doubt, let me make it clear that I write about what has gone on, and on, and on for what seems like eons.  It actually feels like the atmosphere has been filled with millions of accusatory tidbits.  So much so, that every man, woman, child, cat and dog could have a dish full (of tidbits) of their very own.

Although a few reasonable people have cautioned the many firebrands from the mainstream media, there has been little abatement of acidic speech delivered at coloring people on the right with the harshest colors and words imaginable.  There have been calls for restrictive legislation on firearms and speech.  Maybe next we’ll  hear pleas for book burnings or imprisonment of those who are just a little different from the rest of society or those holding religious worship in a way that we don’t believe in.

Who would want to follow the concepts or dictates contained in the Tucson murderer’s favorite reading material?  That is, as that material dealt with the disposal of the enemies or followers of the political  systems touted by the books loved by the murderer.  I’m not certain, but it seems it could be some who have taken up the call for some of the actions listed in the second paragraph above.

I ran across a short video from ReasonTV in which I find no unreasonable statement or theory.  I trust you will agree, but if not, you can butter your pancakes on the edges.

Here’s An Idea — Spend Tax Money Outside County’s Jurisdiction

Quote Freely From The Article – Leave The Pseudonym Alone

Let’s say your county has a 77 million dollar shortfall and you feel the urge to hold an employee retreat to try to solve the problem.  What solutions could you think about that would make solid sense after the county had experienced major accusations of public corruption?  Anything under the bulleted points make sense?

  • travel outside the county where the problem solvers could not be reached by telephone as an expressed preference
  • spend 10 to 15K  for two nights at a swanky but “inexpensive” hotel
  • hide or cover-up the number of employees and elected officials essential for attendance
  • ignore county owned facilities suitable for the two-day use
  • forget county businesses that pay taxes and fees to hold the sessions; thereby losing payroll and private sector employee/employer taxes and salaries

In times of fat public sector bank accounts, an example shown by a county or other public entity might not amount too much in the mind of citizens,  but in these times of  splintered and skinny wallets the public’s collective attitude is likely much different.  Especially when a great deal of executive and police corruption is barely one month cold.

Those reading this might be wondering where the mentioned county would be located.  Not to worry, it is in Prince George’s County, Maryland and you can read more by plinking this word.

Perhaps, residents of Prince George’s County are puzzled why  a resident of Santa Fe County, New Mexico is bothering himself with East Coast public finance and politics — here’s my reason:  I’m drawn to decisions made with little thought to real benefit, but mostly I have heard so much spin and silly theory today, that I wanted to think about something else which might help me to forget about how far  minds from the mainstream media (MSM) might stretch given enough latitude.  To paraphrase, a Bob Dylan song title, the answer is Blowin’ In The Wind. I’m not trying to match the words to Dylan’s song to what has transpired today, but I am trying to match the title to what many MSM pundit’s lips have done over the last two or three days to ratchet rhetoric upward in the Grand Canyon State and beyond.

Gabrielle Giffords - 2009

The events of today in Arizona, where several people were murdered, and a respected Congressperson was seriously injured, will have reams written about the terrible episode.  We will pray for the families of the victims who died and for the Congressperson and her family.  Congressperson  Gabrielle Giffords is a centrist in her political views and is reportedly loved by the people who elected her and those served by her.

This sort of thing is painful to write about and it is hoped that the media will not work to make it something it is not.  It is bad enough being the terrible reality it is and some of the earlier reports, specifically the number of times the Congresswoman was shot, have been in error.

You can find more on the events in Arizona by going to this link.

God Bless America and God Bless the victims of this tragedy.  Pray for them if you will.

Well, we may not have known it before, but now  it’s announced by Dick Morris on the Sean Hannity show (see more from the article link)  it must be true and we must know it is true.  Well, not so darn fast.  According to FactCheck.org the viral emails and other forms of communication asserting  among other things that :

My sister just sent me a chain e-mail that is trying to make a case for a 28th amendment to the Constitution stating that Congress shall make no law that members of Congress are exempt from obeying themselves. The e-mail uses the following example, and I’d like to know if it’s true:

Monday on Fox news they learned that the staffers of Congress family members are exempt from having to pay back student loans. This will get national attention if other news networks will broadcast it. When you add this to the below, just where will all of it stop?

It seems few, if any, purveyors of this kind of bull butter ever attempt to look at possible locations which might prove or disprove this and similar “facts,”  because for lazy people, it is not worth the effort.  It is the shock value they seem  after, but they gain a reputation for silliness and ignorance.  That said, it is true there are congressional perks; whether for the members of congress, their staff, other congressional employees, that might cause your toenails to fall off if you suddenly learned the full extent of the benefit “puffs.”  And we haven’t begun mentioned benefits for all federal employees.  The FactCheck article continues with corrections and additions and tries to state the full facts, but in doing so,  actually generate more curiosity over just how much federal government (particularly congressional government components) have managed to bloat out of any semblance of common sense or value received.

You can read the rest of the article from FactCheck if you click here. Don’t forget to access any links set below.
